Private Event
You can have a Murder Mystery Comedy Event all to yourself. Have us come to a location of your choosing or one of ours. We need 15- 20 volunteers out of the audience to play a part in the show. You know you have many fun characters you would love to see ham it up in one of our fun comedies. Choose who the volunteers are, or let our cast of characters solicit the volunteers. This is a great team-building event as it is participatory. You don’t just watch a show but become the show. Our cast of killers has been doing this type of event since 1992. We are experienced at working with different groups and are prepared to help your guests have a good time.
Since we started in 1992, we have worked with many restaurants and banquet facilities. Since 2013, we have made the Library Restaurant & Pub our home facility.

Traveling Shows
Have you secured your venue and are looking for fun, interactive entertainment? The Mystery Café troupe is available to travel to a location of your choice! Anywhere in the state of Indiana. It would be best if you didn't think that because we are located in Indianapolis, we don’t travel. The shows are designed to work in any banquet facility or restaurant. Yes, we have done these shows in people’s homes, too. We have been as far north as Michigan, west into Illinois, east to Richmond, South to Bloomington, and all points in between. We have comedy, and we are not afraid to travel with it.

Don’t commit a ‘crime’ by having a bland meal where no one talks to each other! We've entertained them all, from sales groups to church groups and holiday parties to birthday parties! Make it an interactive event, a corporate outing, a non-profit fundraiser, a team-building exercise, an ice breaker, or a fun time out with family and friends for a special event, like a birthday or anniversary! Groups of 12+ Attending a Public Show
For groups of 12 or more attending a regular public show, there are several perks:
– 7% discount
– Your $1 per ticket processing fee is waived!
– Guaranteed tickets! Secure your group with a signed contract and a 25% non-refundable down deposit, and we will guarantee your tickets. No ‘mystery’ as to if your group can get in! Your final head count and remaining balance due are needed two weeks before your show date. Please note your group must decide how to manage their bar tab for the night of the event, either individual tabs presented to and paid for by each guest or one collective tab presented to and paid for by the group coordinator. All additional charges incurred at the restaurant are the group’s responsibility and must be settled before leaving the facility.
Why: We look for 15-18 volunteers out of the audience to play minor characters in the audience. How well do you know your group? They are a bunch of outgoing souls. Then a private show would best serve you. Your people would be playing all the parts and having fun.
Let’s say you are not sure everybody in your group would feel comfortable playing a part. Then I suggest joining the public show, where we would find some of our volunteers among the other guests there that night.
Are you interested in spending some time alone with your folks that night? Here is what we have done for some groups. We sat at 5:30 and started at 6:00. Before we started, we let the group have the room all to themselves. The remaining audience was kept out of the room until the group was finished. The group had a little ceremony before the public was allowed in.
